    Details description

The Delta AS16AP11T-A combines eight digital inputs and eight transistor outputs in one AS Series expansion module, providing a convenient interface between a PLC and discrete field devices. The 8 input channels can receive 24 VDC signals from devices such as proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, push buttons, limit switches and other switching devices. The eight NPN transistor outputs can control compatible DC loads used in automated machinery and industrial control systems.

The module's NPN sinking output configuration is an important consideration when designing or replacing PLC I/O. Each output supports up to 0.5 A at 5–30 VDC, while the maximum current for each common is 4 A. The spring-clamp terminal block provides a practical connection method for field wiring, while the combined input/output arrangement can reduce the need for separate digital input and output modules within a compact PLC installation.

The AS16AP11T-A is suitable for applications including packaging machinery, material handling systems, production equipment, machine automation and general industrial control. Its 8DI + 8DO configuration is particularly useful for machines that need to monitor multiple discrete signals while simultaneously controlling DC actuators or other compatible loads. When selecting the AS16AP11T-A for a replacement or expansion project, the NPN sinking output configuration, 24 VDC input characteristics and output current limits should be matched with the existing PLC wiring and connected devices.
