The Mitsubishi HG-KR13B is a compact, low-inertia servo motor developed for the MELSERVO-J4 servo system. With a rated output of 0.1 kW (100 W), it delivers 0.32 N·m rated torque and 1.1 N·m maximum torque. The motor has a rated speed of 3,000 r/min and a maximum speed of 6,000 r/min, providing fast and controlled rotary motion for small-capacity automation equipment.
For high-accuracy feedback, the HG-KR13B uses an absolute/incremental 22-bit encoder with a resolution of 4,194,304 pulses per revolution. The motor has a low moment of inertia of approximately 0.0837 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m² and uses a totally enclosed, natural-cooling construction with an IP65 protection rating, excluding the shaft-through portion.
The HG-KR13B is equipped with a spring-actuated electromagnetic safety brake. The brake operates at 24 V DC and provides a static friction torque of 0.32 N·m or higher. Mitsubishi specifies that this brake is intended for holding applications and should not be used for deceleration. Typical applications for the HG-KR series include general industrial machinery, X-Y tables, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and other precision motion-control systems.
